Objective

In 2011 Brunswick asked ASTHEIMER to create a new design identity for Uttern
A Swedish Brand with a strong tradition, but over the recent years there had been a lack of new product and the Brand had lost market share.

Solution

ASTHEIMER went to Scandinavia to experience first-hand the boating culture and to speak to customers and dealers to understand what the market desired. Later that year at the 2011 Gothenburg Boat Show – Uttern launched the 62 Range with 3 configurations: the cruiser, open and bowrider.

Uttern design is rooted in Scandinavian tradition and culture with a contemporary twist. Guided by simplicity and functionality, nothing is superfluous. Safety above all. Followed by style, comfort, versatility and storage. High freeboards and easy access to land and water bring real peace of mind – especially if children are on board.
